Reflex 80's Party - 5 Dec
The Reflex 80s Party returned to Gianpula on Saturday 5 December 2009 with a bang!!!... DJ Alex Grech rocked the crowd with a six-hour set on the main stage along with videos on the big screens. Surely the Biggest 80's Party in Europe. Check out our previous Reflex Party videos on facebook and photos on www.reflexmalta.com.
Reflex Promotions also hosted the New Romantic, Alternative and Electro 80s during the same night The Molecule...which was great to watch. Thanks to Jackie and DJ Mozzer and DJ Alberto Palmieri.
The Reflex 80s Party was supported by Cisk Export, Vladivar, Bacardi, Securich, Mamo Pyrotechnics, SignDesign, FotoCreative and Smash Radio 104.6FM.

Capital Radio sold
After 11 years on air, Media Co-op (owners of Capital Radio) decided to pack up and sell the 88.7 FM frequency to another company. Capital Radio was the No 1 80s Music Radio Station in Malta. This is a huge setback for all 80s music fans as thousands of listeners have nowhere to turn to...this forum is open for discussion. Pls leave your comments here. |

The Magazine is compiling a people's history of modern Britain - featuring the readers written memories and photos. The 80's was one of the topics... the decade of Thatcher, yuppies, chunky mobile phones and BMX bikes.
But among the hundreds of written memories e-mailed to them, many thought first about the music and fashion.

Reflex Promotions presents The Rifffs Album Launch Concert
Next month, Malta's very own local band The Rifffs shall release their debut album called Moon Stomp. The long awaited album shall include tracks which were written over 27 years ago such as the anthem Dance Music for the 80's Depression and new songs which were penned during these last three years since the band's reunion. The album has been produced by Howard Keith De Bono at Jagged House.
The band played their first gigs after 25 years on the 29th and 30th of April 2006 at Tattingers night club in Rabat infront of a mixed crowd of people that remembered the band from the 80’s and youngsters who were not even born when ‘the Rifffs’ had their original success. Both concerts were a fantastic experience for the band members and crowd alike. The Rifffs gave a show of a lifetime and the huge crowd present reciprocated by adding to the electrifying atmosphere with their dancing and singing along to their favourite tunes from the past and present.
Reflex Promotions are now organising the Rifffs Album Launch Concert which will be held at The New Tattingers on Monday 9 February 2009 (eve of a public holiday). The launch party shall also include exclusive DJ sets by Alex Grech, Lito and Colin Fitz. Expect great music that blows up your mind... there's never been anything like it before....

Finally, the mystery has been unfolded. Reflex Promotions shall present the biggest 80's Event in Malta - REFLEXMANIA at the the Eden Arena St Julians on Saturday,8 September 2007. Exclusively during this event, 80's icon and ex Soft Cell Singer, the one and only MARC ALMOND performing Soft Cell's No 1 Tainted Love and loads of other classics such as Torch, Bedsitter etc. Malta's 80's group X-Tend are also guests for the event. DJ Alex Grech will play all the 80's hits till the early hours of Sunday Morning...Dance till you drop! We shall make this event a great one to remember!! This is REFLEXMANIA .. bigger than a Reflex Party!!! |

Malta Concerts - Your favourite Singer /Group
This summer, Reflex Promotions brought Marc Almond to our islands. Maltese fans also welcomed Bryan Adams, one of the many 80's hottest rock stars. This summer also saw the return of The Australian Pink Floyd, Robert Plant, Zucchero and the Wailers who all left their mark in the music scene.
Definitely, more artists shall follow suit by coming to Malta to perform live...
Now here's a question for you...actually three.

The Rifffs are back !
Last Saturday 11 March, Malta's top 80's band The Rifffs officially announced their comeback during the Reflex Party at Gianpula. Ray, Rayvin, Cooks and Najju joined Alex Grech on stage and surprised the massive and enthusiastic crowd with this great news while their classic Music for the 80's Depression was being played. The Rifffs shall be playing live (after 20 yrs !) at the Reflex 80's Party at Tattingers on Saturday 29 April. The band shall also be on REFLEX live on Capital Radio on Saturday 25 March. Any questions for the band to answer can be posted on the Reflex Forum (please register first) or send an e-mail on reflex@onvol.net. |
