www.reflexmalta.com at the Depeche Mode Playing the Angel Tour
(Wembley Arena, London) - 3 April 2006

Alex and friends have just attended the Depeche Mode Concert at the Wembley Arena in London. 'It's been a great weekend for all of us. We watched the band from so close...actually from the front standing row. It's so special to see a band that we grew up with. The atmosphere was excellent ... DM gave a brilliant show and they're as good as ever " Alex said.

The set list included the early hits such as Just Cant Get Enough and Everything Counts and tracks from their latest album Playing the Angel.

Alex was accompanied by his girlfriend and two close friends Jackie and Mark.

Jackie is probably Malta's No 1 Depeche Mode Fan. And here's why...

While in London, all four crossed Tottenham Court Rd. Alex and Brenda who were in front, turned round to to Westend DJ at Hanway Street  but went back to TC Rd after noticing that Jackie and Mark didn't follow. A big surprise awaited.

Jackie had just rubbed shoulders with a familiar face. It took just a few seconds to realise that Dave Gahan and a friend passed by in a flash.

So she goes back...pulls Dave from the hand and ...the inevitable happened ! she freezed and couldnt believe it was actually the Depeche Mode singer in sunglasses and a green jacket.

Hats off to Jackie...I wonder who would have recognised Dave Gahan in disguise just like she did... among thousands and thousands of shoppers.

Dave was in a hurry but there was time enough for this just one photo...

"I can't come back to earth after such a wonderful experience I had in London with Depeche Mode. Seeing them live was something and meeting Dave was phenominal. The show was great, I can still feel Martin's and Dave's breath as I was underneath them at the frontest after queueing for about 51/2hours in all kinds of elements at the Wembley arena. But it was all worth doing. I still can't beleive that I really met Dave and had one of my greatest dreams come true. I look at the picture all the time to make sure that I didn't imagine the thing. Their live performance was great and after all these years I can still say that Depeche Mode are the best and they can still Shake the disease!!!!!!! " Jackie said.

Alex also had the opportunity to meet the legendary Dave Gahan face to face. "Thank God I went back to check on my friends....it would have been one of my biggest regrets if I didnt." Alex said.
